Culturally Enough. What to Expect and Why Join Now?
Coming 2023, but subscribe now for extra and for the lowest price!
If you are still wondering what this newsletter community is all about, make sure to visit the About page!
The newsletter offerings detailed there will start on January 1, 2023, but if you join now, all subscribers will get a preview of what a paid post will look like.
On December 19, 2022, I will publish “Tips on Taking Care During the Holidays When You Can’t Set Strict Boundaries” to all subscribers, with an exclusive added offering for those who are paid. The holidays can be tough for many, so I wanted to jumpstart this community to allow members to have access to support during this time.
Additionally, all subscribers who join until January 10, 2023, will also receive exclusive access to Reflections + Resolutions, a 10-page workbook to help you reflect on your previous year and set intentions for your upcoming year. This will only be available for subscribers who join by January 10, 2023.
Finally, I wanted to open up subscriptions now to allow for gifting! Consider gifting one to a loved one or asking for a gift subscription yourself! More on gifting here. And if you’re thinking of joining with a friend, you each get an additional 10% off the annual membership! Use this link to snag this deal.
In doing focus groups, I was told that this is wayyyy underpriced, but I aim to retain accessiblity. With that said, this will likely be the cheapest this subscription will be offered, so consider joining now!
Why Subscribe To The Paid Version?
The paid version offers a combination of resources, content, and community that does not exist anywhere else for bicultural and multicultural folks. While this may be an extension of Brown Girl Therapy, we will go deeper and connect more intimately, and intentionally, than possible on social media.
This is my life’s work. When I first started Brown Girl Therapy, I was being paid through a full-time job and it was a side hustle. Now I am looking to build a sustainable life around sharing and facilitating conversations and learning when it comes to cultural brokering and rooting into our multicultural identities. There’s so much I am learning that is not going into my upcoming book, or transcends what I can say or share on social media. This feels like the space for those conversations.
By subscribing to the paid version, you have my gratitude for your belief in and support of my work, and you are with me in challenging this belief that as a “content creator” I must be working for free or must be urgently overworking. In this space, I want to prioritize reciprocity, and honor our mutual capacity as we do this difficult work together. By paying, you’re making it possible for me to do my very best work and are contributing to my effort toward sustainability. Imagine what we can do down the road together — I can bring on a research assistant, guest writers, and experts; building this into something more far-reaching and bigger than we can fathom today. Let’s do it.
Paid subscribers also support me in offering no-cost subscriptions to those who need it. If you are in a position where you can donate a subscription on top of your own, please do so here. And, if being a paid subscriber just isn’t for you, you’ll still get my newsletter + an additional post every month.
I am so excited to be in this community with you all, and for it to be off social media.
Rooting for you,
Sahaj Kaur Kohli, MA, NCC
